35th Cadet Course SMA
Aosta, April - August 1964

- Episode n.5 (01/10/07 - 31/12/08)

This episode, whose duration was extended to 15 months in order to make it coincide with December 31, concludes the first year of the 2008-2013 six-year plan.
As this is a particularly important and substantial project, the usual table of raised funds also shows source “Amici di Max” (Friends of Max), previously managed directly by Massimo.

Furthermore, the Association “Aiutare i Bambini” (hereafter AiB), beside financing the 2008 school year by donating €15,700...

.

... also donated €40,000 thus paying 97.80 % of the costs for building the Dormitory.

By December 2008 the total amount of funds raised by the Alpini and the Amici di Max was €124,130 as shown in detail by the following table:

A container previously sent has brought fabrics, a Notebook computer, and sanitary material for the Guest House. The next one will carry carpentry machinery and more. More on this in the next episode.

Except for €2,500 which were tied up to Keybuza by the donator (see Episode  N°1) and except for €500 given to the Luzira Mission in due gratitude for allowing us to import under their licence - which exempts us from custom duties - this is how the remaining €121,130 have been spent:

-10.000 € toilets Nursery unit.

- 8.000€ solar panels Nursery unit (5.000 of which came from Vibram alone).

- 2.500€ travelling expenses for maintenance staff carrying spare parts for the old generator, plus office stationary and other materials, plus the barbed wire needed for the fence.

- Con 71.500 €, Of the remaining €100.630, €71.500 are being spent on the following items provided for in the six-year plan:

Two class-rooms in Block A (item4.2) one of which was paid by the Bologna Rotary, the other by Duferco.

Toilets for students (items 6,8,9).

Teachers residence Block A (item 17).

The year 2008 has been an excellent year. In fact, not only were we able to pay for all the above, but the remaining €29.130 is an important fund for expenses in the coming years.
